Well, there seems to be some hot debate over the best format for the Blog to take! There are too many choices for us all. I remember when we all just used to meet up and talk face to face, blah blah blah....

So just out of curiosity, I wanted to see how easy/hard it was to use. Thats why this is so boring, but maybe next week I'll tell you all how my weekend went...it'llsave me going down the pub!

Apparently one of our members has been trying to re-enact a scene from one of those mountaineering films where all the climbers are shouting bullshit from the back of the the house. You know the sort of scene I mean where you fall 20' and then manage to grab a tiny ledge on the way down.

Dave Unwin found himself descending into Cwm Eigiau when he jumped across a gap and then slipped, falling inverted he managed to grab a couple of bits of heather, spun back round again and landed on his feet about 10' lower - you lucky bastard is all I can say. Perhaps the movies are true after all.

We do of course expect to see one of pieces of lucky heather pinned up in the hut Dave!

THE LOT OF A HUT SECRETARY IS NOT A HAPPY ONE

The great hut mattress saga continues.

I guess most of you will be aware the new new mattresses that have been put into the hut.

After much complaining about the old new mattresses (i.e the one from a submarine) our long suffering hut secretary has provided some new mattresses.

Of course some people are never pleased Paul but I suppose you probably knew that this was always going to be the case........

I always found it was best to smile through gritted teeth and then go outside and scream a bit.

HOW MANY BONES TO BREAK IN A HUMAN BODY?

Hi guess this is all a bit old news now but anyway. You requested a blog for the Climbing Club and here it is!

So I thought I start off by musing about Max's ability to keep breaking himself.

I guess quite a lot of you were there about three weeks ago when the cycling chain gang was involved in its usual sprint for the village sign. Crash, bang wallop bodies and bikes everywhere. The advantage of having a heavy steel bike with fat wide tyres is that this consigns you to the back of the group and conseqently out of trouble.

The two main injuries to people were Miles and Max, though Miles seemed more concerned about this shattered bike frame than his elbow cut to the bone. Max apparently had broken another rib or at least heavily bruised. You see our chairman is a balanced chap he now has ribs broken/damaged on both sides.

Anyway as I told him there over 140 bones in his body so he has a way to go yet!

If anyone wants to take bets on whether Max will break any more bones before the year is out I think the bookies would take no further bets.
